This is the novel by Indumathi.
When the dreams and desires of young people is destructed, it is heart breaking to erase those desires and go with the normal life. Every one of us has a bigger dream in our life! When we step forward in reaching that dreamt destination with eager and enthusiasm, life takes us in entirely different path which we may not like.
The author indirectly advises us to accept the path where the life takes us with a smile through his framed characters. The dejected and depressed feeling of not reaching our dream can be removed and we can lead a joyful life by two things,
- Accepting, adapting and creating happiness in what is given to us. Else, our life will be miserable.
- Help others reaching our dreams. It would feel as if we acheived that.
And here is the storyline!!
The three important characters are,
- Parasu — big brother
2. Rukhmani- Parasu’s wife
3. Vishnu — hero
Parasu dreamt of studying a professional degree. His father stops his studies due to family situations and sends him to work. It was very hard for him at first but he realises his brothers and sisters growth depends on his salary and goes to work. Later, his younger brother Vishnu dreamt of starting a journal but he goes to work due to family situations. Now he had a deeper insight on how his brother took the family burden and entered the machine life with a smile and without any anger, hesitation.
